Reach-Adjust Headset All frames are equipped with reach adjust headsets to fine tune the reach. Installed on the frame is a 0mm / neutral headset. In the small parts box added with every frameset and complete bicycle, there is an additional set of 5mm headset cups that can be used to make reach adjustments. The Carbon Altitude frame uses drop-in style, oval headset cups. No tools are required to remove and install the cups in the frame. Cup alignment is automatically achieved due to the keyed, oval shape of the cups and headtube. The cups feature an integrated o-ring around the outside of the cup to keep them secured in the frame and reduce movement that can lead to noise. The headsets for the carbon frames are manufactured by FSA and are the No.85-1 model. They use standard FSA assembly parts such as bearings and races to ensure that replacing wear items are a painless process. The Alloy Altitude frame uses press-in style, oversized headset cups. Specialized headset installation tools are required to remove and install the cups in the frame. Cup alignment must be carefully managed to achieve proper alignment due to the non-keyed shape of the cups and headtube. The cups feature an alignment mark on the outside face to align them in the frame. Aligning a long straight edge ruler along this mark and the length of the top tube (upper cup) or downtube (lower cup) is the easiest way to ensure proper cup alignment. The headsets for the alloy frames are manufactured by FSA and are the HS-RM-01 model. They use standard FSA assembly parts such as bearings and races to ensure that replacing wear items are a painless process.

Reach-Adjust Headsets • All frames are equipped with reach adjust headsets to fine tune the reach. Installed on the frame is a 0mm / neutral headset. In the small parts box added with every frameset and complete bicycle, there is an additional set of 5mm headset cups that can be used to make reach adjustments. When reviewing the geometry chart with the 5mm offset cups installed, simply add or subtract 5mm from the Reach, Top Tube Length, and Wheelbase measurements to match the orientation of the cups.
